Sing praises

Look around yourself and choose something – an object, a person, anything.
Now find things to appreciate about it and sing its praises.
It is as simple as making a decision to find its good and useful qualities.
How do you feel after praising?

Give Thanks

Next, remember when you last were very grateful for something or to someone.
Besides thankful, how did it make you feel?
Did you act differently afterwards?

Feel Love

Finally, summon a loving memory and extend your love out to something or someone.
Do you feel loved too? Does the whole world look rosy?
This is a very powerful emotion, but also the most difficult to summon.

Beyond Emotions

Praise, thanks, and love are much more than feel-good emotions, they have an impact on everything around us.

For example, water reflects the energies and thoughts it is exposed to. Dr. Masaru Emoto, researcher and author of Messages from Water has documented the energies held by water by freezing it and looking at the crystalline pattern. The words “you fool” resulted in disorganized crystals whereas “thank-you” freezes in symmetrical, beautiful crystals.

Love and GratitudeHe also looked at the state of natural waters around the world and found lots of the waters polluted, freezing in disorganized patterns. In a 2000 interview, Dr. Emoto described the special combination of words that would be most helpful for cleaning up the natural waters of the world.

His research shows that they are “love” plus the combination of thanks and appreciation reflected in the English word “gratitude”. He says that just as water is two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen, you need two parts gratitude to each one part love to purify water.

What does this have to do with our health?

Just as water responds to thoughts of appreciation or degradation so does our health.

USA Today reports that “up to 90 percent of the doctor visits in the United States may be caused by a stress-related illness. . . . severe cases of stress extend beyond the temporary increase in blood pressure and begin to injure cells of the body–which may accelerate the aging process, leaving people susceptible to various diseases.”

Appreciation, thanks, and love are antidotes to stress. In fact, it is possible to live in a constant state of appreciation, gratitude and love. The experience of the world is then quite magical. Inner peace, our birthright, is easily at hand.

Inner Peace

The Ishayas teach a series of reliable techniques to easily access peace. They are based on praise, gratitude, and love, but you do not have to be feeling any of these emotions in order to use these techniques. They are simple statements of truth that instantly bring us to that place of peace. They are structured to bring both hemispheres of the brain into coherence, which is evidence of feelings of peace and harmony. They change the way you look at the world. They are not associated with any religion, and do not require any belief in them to work; they just do.
