Spring 2015 Lunar Eclipse
This morning, April 4, I got up early and was treated to an unusual view of the moon. It hung dim in the western sky. Watching, watching, the light started to appear on the topmost portion of the moon.
Quickly, the moon started to set over Mingus Mountain as first light of sunrise began. The stars faded and the mountain became easier to see.
Like bookends, my day began and ended with the moon. Taiko drummers celebrated the full moon at Arcosanti .
But first, Susan and I rest overlooking the Agua Fria River.
Ken Kushi and his troup drummed as the moon rose.
A bamboo flutist from Japan joined them.
The drums were like a heartbeat.
I love the big drum.
