So, what’s a psoas and why does it need to be released?

Psoas – pronounced “so-as” – is a deep core muscle that too often gets stuck contracted because of how we move – or don’t move – in modern life.

It is often the culprit for hip pain and inability to stand up erect.

This is not a stretch – it is a way of laying on a hard surface on your back to allow the psoas muscle to go with gravity and lengthen.

You will need pillows, blankets and other materials to bolster you to be able to lay in the proper position for the release.
