Dia de los Muertos Ofrendas

by | Dr. Cheryl Kasdorf ND, Postcards | 0 comments

The offerings, Ofrendas, to the dead are very colorful and some have intricate patterns.

In front is a carpet made of sawdust and dried flowers and herbs. They are often bordered with the giant Mexican Calendula flowers.

They can be in homes, in entrances to buildings, or directly on the street or plaza.

They are often lit with candles at night.
