Look at yourself in the mirror.

Look at the faces of people you meet during the day.

Do you see puffiness under your or their eyes?

Do you see dark circles?

Perhaps that may go along with:

  • frequent urination,
  • general fatigue,
  • painful joints,
  • weak ankles,
  • poor hearing,
  • head hair loss,
  • any skin problem such as dandruff, and
  • sexual problems.

These are all signs of the kidneys not functioning up to par. In the winter season and when there is a climate of fear, the kidneys need additional support. It is possible to do that in a simple way with water and salt.

Supporting the Kidneys

The kidneys are important organs of detoxification. As well, they regulate water in the body. It is important to drink enough of the right kind of water for hydration and detoxification. But don’t go overboard, because drinking too much water can stress and damage the kidneys.

That is why I recommend drinking water that has been revitalized by a Natural Action Water Structuring Unit, restoring it to water as Nature intended. You need less this way because this kind of water directly hydrates the cells as it can be easily absorbed. The high structuring breaks apart clumps of molecules to fit through pores in cell membranes.

When highly structured water is absorbed into the body, it can more effectively deliver nutrients and energy, as well as remove toxins from the body. This is due to what is known as the colloidal effect, where water’s ability to pick up, surround and isolate toxins is greater than in ordinary tap or bottled water.

In addition, salt and other electrolytes can be added to the water to increase its usefulness to the body.

Get Wet!

Also, I recommend bathing in structured water for the same reasons as drinking it. Did you know that our skin is the largest organ in our bodies? When we bathe, the whole surface area of the skin can absorb water. That is why we want to assure the purity of water, such as highly structured water.

The skin is sometimes called “the third kidney” because it can absorb water as well as lose it through sweat. It can act as another organ of detoxification through sweating or excreting toxins. Taking a bath can be another strategy for detoxification and assisting kidney function.

In specific, a Rock Salt Bath can help detoxify through the skin to assist in decreasing the filtration load on the kidneys. When putting enough salt in your bath water, you create a solution that is more concentrated than the saltiness of the water in your body. This will draw water, and with it, toxins, from your skin into the bath water.

Do the Math

Let’s look at the specifics of what is involved in getting the right concentration of salt in your bath to work for detoxification.

First, let’s find rock salt, about two pounds per bath. You can find it in the spice section of a food store, but it is packaged in small quantities. Rock salt sold for ice cream makers, water softeners, and melting ice comes in packages from 4 to 40 or 50 pounds.

Now, let’s figure out the quantity of water needed for the rock salt bath for detoxification.

Bathtubs come in many sizes, a typical size being 30 by 60 inches. The inside measurements of this tub could be 23” wide, 15” deep to the overflow drain, and 54” long, and hold about 80 gallons of water. Larger bathtubs can easily hold upwards of 100-110 gallons of water, especially if they are deeper.

To estimate the number of gallons your bathtub holds, measure in inches the inside width and length. Measure the depth from the inside bottom of the tub to the bottom of the overflow drain hole for a typical fill level. Then, multiply the width by the length. Multiply the result by the depth. Divide the result by 1,728 for the number of cubic feet of water the tub will hold. Multiply that result by 7.5 for the number of gallons of water held in the tub.

How to Structure Your Bath Water

If you have a portable Natural Action Water Structuring unit, you can use that to structure the bath water. By letting some of the bathwater flow through the portable unit, you can structure the whole bathtub. You may let it flow through as it enters the bathtub, or simply scoop up some water letting I go through the flow form, and repeating several times.

You may want to invest in a whole-house Natural Action Water Structuring unit, because it has benefits so many other places besides the bath. However, a small unit is also available to put on a shower head so that you can fill the bathtub with highly structured water from the shower.

The Recipe for a Rock Salt Bath

  • 2 pounds rock salt in a tub of 25 gallons of (structured) water
  • Soak for 20 – 30 minutes.
  • Repeat at least 3 times a week for targeted kidney support. Do every night in severe cases.
  • Drink additional (structured) water as this can be dehydrating.

To fill your bathtub with 25 gallons water, adjust the depth in the calculations of your bathtub to find out how many inches of water you need. It may be a little more than half full.

Alternatively, adjust the amount of salt for the number of gallons in your tub.

When doing this rock salt bath, be sure to rehydrate with highly structured water as you get when passing your drinking water through a Natural Action Water Structuring Unit.

With these baths and hydration from drinking water, you may feel more energy and less achiness.

If you had it, the puffiness and dark circles under your eyes may diminish or be gone.

Enjoy relaxing in a rock salt bath!
