Let’s answer a few questions for your future self.
What is it about how you are living today that you will be grateful for in the future? Is there room for improvement?
Pause for a moment and consider through this series of questions what you can do today for your health that your future self will thank you for.
Question 1
What’s off in your body right now?
It can be helpful to recall a specific moment or event when you sensed that something felt off in your body. Can you identify what made you stop and think: “I can’t keep living like this”?
- An afternoon energy crash and suddenly snacks are your life raft.
- Trying to keep up with the grandkids – it’s more like cheering them on . . . from the couch.
- That awkward moment when your blood test result was “oh-oh.”
- RSVP’d “nope” to the party because your body pulled the plug before you even got dressed.
- Weekend goal: make it from nap #1 to nap #3 without feeling like a zombie.
Now it’s your turn – write down up to 3 specific times when you knew something was off.
Q2 – going deeper
What limitation are you no longer willing to live with?
What do you struggle with daily?
What physical symptoms have become unacceptable?
Is there more than one thing?
What emotional toll it is taking on you?
Did something happen recently that felt like a turning point?
- Waking up feeling like you’ve already run a marathon . . . in your sleep.
- Eyeing those fitted clothes like a long-lost friend you will never meet again.
- Zoning out mid-meeting and someone notices your goldfish brain and gives you a look.
- Catching your reflection and wondering, “Wait . . . when did I start aging on fast-forward?”
- The medicine cabinet is starting to look like a mini pharmacy — and you didn’t sign up for that.
Now write down your list of what you’re DONE accepting.
Bonus question: Why now? Why is it finally time to make a change?
Q3 – imagine
What does real healing look like for you?
Imagine it’s a month from now, 3 months from now . . . or your 100-year-old self.
What does more health and vitality look like for you?
What are the real tangible things that you notice and are grateful for?
- You actually wake up feeling . . . awake and alert.
- Moving like a ninja — or at least not like a creaky door.
- Crushing the whole day without a snack attack or accidental couch nap.
- Skin’s glowing, mood’s steady, your waistband isn’t fighting back . . . basically winning.
- You catch yourself thinking, “Oh hey . . . here I am.”
Your turn: List 3 specific progress markers you can aim for.
Q4 – choose one
What ONE area of improvement can you track during your health journey?
- Energy
- Focus
- Mood
- Pain/inflammation
- Sleep
- Digestion
- Skin health
- Hormonal symptoms
- Other
Write down which one you choose.
Q5 – state your intent
A declaration of your intent for your health has real power to move you towards what your future self will thank you for.
It grounds you in it and starts the energy moving to realize it.
Now, please fill in the blanks:
“I accept the challenge of my future self thanking me because I am done with :
