We probably all have heard of the incredible benefits of exercising. In fact, the body was designed to move. Movement affects beneficially not only our physical body, but also our mind and spirit.

Not moving enough is lethal

There is a popular phrase that “sitting is the new smoking.” Actually, not quite. But close.

Research shows that a sedentary lifestyle of sitting for six or more hours during leisure time in a day shortens life and increases the risk of disease.

What if we could simply ‘snack on exercise’ in four, one-minute bursts each day?

It may take less effort than you think to get the benefits of exercise.

What are you going to do today for an exercise snack? 

Stretch? Dance a jig? Squat while brushing your teeth? Set your computer for reminders to get up? 

What choices are you going to make daily to get more movement in?

Take the stairs when there is a choice? Park in the remote regions of the parking lot and walk to the store entrance? Stand when you are talking on the phone? Take a meeting while walking?
