Ponce de Leon famously searched for the fountain of youth.

Little did he know he was looking for the wrong thing.

If we want to restore youth, we must know the effects of aging.

Loss of muscle mass, loss of bone density, loss of cognitive function top the list of the effects of aging.

Is there something that can restore these?

YES

It is not something you drink. It is not some newfangled supplement. It is not some far-out procedure.

It is exercise.

I can hear the boos in the room. Some of you did not want to hear that!

For some others, it is encouragement. Something as simple as strength-training exercise can begin to restore muscle and bone mass and cognitive function – what is associated with restoring youth.

See my blog about red light to see what you can do about your skin.

In an interview with Ana Nieto of Mindful Online Workouts, we discover just what strength training exercise is and what it can do.
