Better Habits not Life Hacks

The internet and social media is littered with what they call “life hacks.” These are ways to improve your life by doing one thing that will have “amazing results!”

I get annoyed with these “life hacks” because I do not believe that they are suited to everyone and they most often do not get to the root of the matter while leading you to believe that you are doing something to improve your life and your health.

“It’s good for you!” is a most misleading statement, in my opinion. Good for whom and for what purpose?

These “life hacks” might be a behavior that can be come a habit, yet how do you know that this habit serves you?

I prefer to look at what we do habitually in our day or month to see that it supports the person we want to be. I don’t believe a habit in itself is useful, unless it is aligned with the person we are becoming.

In this video, I introduce the idea that we can change for the better when we choose a behavior that is aligned with what we stand for, that is, who we want to be.

Please comment below one behavior that you are incorporating that helps you be the person you want to be.
